🎥 Friday Video Goodness: The One Good Ad...

Hey there,

This week’s mailshot contains what is probably one of my favourite new ads. It’s smart, challenging and extremely well executed. In the build up to this week we watched pretty much all of the ads for the women’s world cup and they were largely tedious and run of the mill. Which is a genuine shame given how good the sports ad people usually are at sports ads. So the one that we’ve included really stands out.

It’s the first of a handful of really solid videos this week that we’re very pleased to be inspired by.

Orange - la Compil des Bleues

Don’t be put off by the fact it’s in French or that it’s about football. It’s international and it’s about much more than football.

Yorkshire Tea

Honestly, I sort of wanted to hate this. But it’s genuinely a good fun watch and speaks to me as someone who takes proper teabags on holiday.

Oreo x Nintendo

Even if you don’t like Oreos (me) or don’t play a lot of Nintendo (98.5% of the global population) this is really rather sweet.

What have we been up to?

Our in depth look at why video production costs what it costs became and has remained our most popular post.

James, our soon to be not an apprentice anymore has written an in-depth look at the solutions to how we approach remote editing collaboratively.

Our work with startups and scaleups continues. We recently completed a series of explainer videos for a company called Sunswap, who make solar-powered battery Transport Refrigeration Units (the fridges on refrigerated lorries). This series of films allows them to explain to potential clients all of the advantages of their system and overcome sales obstacles.

Movie Trailer of the Week - Scrapper

I’ve got a bit of a bugbear with so many indie British movies being poverty porn, crappy gangster thrillers or period dramas. So this debut movie from Charlotte Regan looks wonderful.

Have a wonderful weekend.
