Friday Video Goodness

End your week inspired

Hello World.

Welcome to this week’s appropriately named Friday Video Goodness. It’s Friday. it contains videos to inspire you. It’s enormously good.

We’re trying out a new platform so please do let us know if anything looks a bit janky, but otherwise onwards.

  • There’s a funny, new Apple commercial about how Apple is the fierce protector of your privacy

  • A charming look at the new Zelda game on Switch

  • A very revealing and amusing look at online safety.

Plus a movie trailer for your watchlist and a couple of bits about us.

Apple - Famously, definitely, on your side.

It’s a great concept and well executed. It’s perhaps a little cynical given that it’s generally accepted wisdom that Apple’s main aim is to ensure that only Apple profit from your data. However, it did remind us of an even better execution of the same concept years ago.

The Legend of Zelda

This ad for for the new Legend of Zelda game on the Nintendo switch is a heartwarming reminder that not everyone who enjoys videos games lives in their Mom’s basement.

Keep It Real Online

We’re not sure if it’s one particular production company in New Zealand that keeps knocking it out of the park with their wryly comic ads, but this one about online safety is brilliantly done.

Movie Trailer of the Week - No Hard Feelings

J-Law pretty hilarious in real life so we’ve got pretty high hopes for this one.

Finally, you can see what we’ve been up to in our latest startup video for brilliant tech company Yodeck. And outgoing Production Assistant Jess wrote some thoughtful words on her nearly two years here at Vermillion after starting out as an digital video apprentice.

Have a thoroughly splendid weekend.
